The most popular time for visitors to the beach resorts in Mexico is from October to May with pleasant temperatures making this a great time for a relaxing break. Summer/Autumn is generally the wetter season but when it does rain it's usually in short sharp bursts with strong sunshine in between. At this time prices are often a lot lower (20-25% less) and so you can pick up some incredible value.

Mexico's varied landscape brings with it varied weather so if you are travelling to areas with higher elevations you can expect much colder temperatures in the winter compared to the beach resorts. If you want to experience one of the fiestas you can plan your holiday to coincide with one of these, however if you prefer a more peaceful and relaxed atmosphere then these festival times might not be the best time for you.
